Brent loses out in Terrific Battle!!
Mike Brent lost on split decision in Poole on Sunday in a superb contest.
Mike started well forcing a standing 8 count on his opponent in the 2nd rnd. However the more experienced Dean Alexander seemed to get stronger as the match progressed taking the 4th and 5th. Leaving it in the judges’ hands as to how they scored the 3rd round.
Ultimately the result went to the local man by a split decision. However I especially would like to congratulate Mike on a great performance against a quality fighter in only Mike's fourth bout. The experience will stand him in good stead in his upcoming bouts I’m sure. Look out for Mike Brent’s return in Sept!
Also on the bill having his first bout at 34 years old was Simon Burgess who performed very well also losing out on a split decision.
First two losses for Taurus away from home for over a year. But both lads did themselves and the Gym proud.
